1. Using Peermigo
Peermigo is a study-partner discovery and collaboration service for students. By using it, you agree to these Terms of Use and the Community Guidelines. Please also review the Privacy Policy. Features and interface details may change as the service develops.
2. Eligibility, identity and accounts
Accounts are intended for students aged 18 or older, including eligible learners who select School. Give accurate first/given names, surname, institution, course or grade, subject/module information and study-format preferences. Do not impersonate others or misrepresent enrolment.
During registration, at least one subject/module and a study format are required. Campus is required for on-campus university/college students but optional for online or hybrid students. Matching-critical fields cannot simply be cleared in Edit Profile; they can be corrected or replaced. Protect your password and verification codes, and report suspected account misuse.
A verification badge indicates an administrative review; it does not guarantee identity, enrolment at all times, behaviour or personal safety.
3. Matching and student discovery
Peermigo's compatibility scores are suggestions based on available profile information. Subjects, courses, institution, campus and study format have different importance for online, hybrid and on-campus students; availability has a smaller effect because schedules can change.
Match percentages are not professional assessments, identity checks, guarantees of academic success or promises that students will be available to collaborate. You decide whether to contact, connect or meet someone. Profile discoverability, blocking and other safety settings can affect which profiles are shown.
4. Respect, safety and academic integrity
No harassment, threats, hate speech, bullying, stalking, coercion, sexual exploitation, spam, scams or repeated unwanted contact. Do not request passwords, student IDs or other sensitive information. Do not offer cheating-for-hire, promote plagiarism or misrepresent academic work as your own.
For in-person study sessions, meet in public places and use reasonable personal-safety precautions. Peermigo does not supervise or guarantee safety at face-to-face meetings.
5. Notes, messages and uploads
You are responsible for content you create or share. Notes may be set to Only me or On my profile. Public notes can also be discovered, read, bookmarked and reported in Discover Notes by signed-in students, even when you hide your profile from Find Peers. Hidden authors are shown with a generic label in the feed, without a link to their hidden profile. Private notes are not intended for other students. Notes currently support image attachments; other supported file types may be available in private or group messaging.
Only post content you have the legal right to share. Do not upload pirated textbooks, unlicensed paid course content, private messages without permission, illegal images or malicious files. You retain ownership of original work and grant Peermigo a limited, non-exclusive permission to store, deliver and display it as needed for your selected visibility and the platform's operation. Material shared with others may be saved, downloaded or copied by recipients.
6. Groups, sessions and participation
Group administrators can manage membership and related content using the available controls. Act fairly and follow the Community Guidelines. Students are responsible for arrangements they make, including session times, RSVPs and locations. Peermigo is not an educational institution and does not guarantee tutoring quality, attendance, qualifications or outcomes.
7. Prohibited technical activity
Do not bypass security controls, try to obtain another student's private content, harvest profiles or messages, interfere with the service, post malware or deliberately exploit vulnerabilities. Please disclose security concerns privately to peermatchstudents@gmail.com.
8. Reports, blocking and moderation
You may use block and report controls for profiles, messages and public notes where offered. Reports can be reviewed and may lead to warnings, content removal, restrictions or account action. Reports are not guarantees of immediate intervention. For appeals or urgent platform concerns, contact Peermigo support. If someone is in immediate danger, seek help from local emergency services.
9. Account changes and deletion
Within Settings → Your Account, users may change email or password, deactivate and seek permanent deletion. Deactivation and deletion are different actions. Technical backups, records retained for lawful safety purposes and copies held by other students may not disappear immediately or be recoverable by Peermigo.
10. External services and limits
Links to external tutorials and resources are provided for convenience; Peermigo does not control their content. The platform is provided on an as-available basis. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted access, uninterrupted delivery, every match recommendation or particular academic results. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or protections that cannot be lawfully excluded.
11. Updates and contact
We may update these terms or features as the platform develops. The date above identifies the current text. Questions, privacy requests or moderation appeals: peermatchstudents@gmail.com.
